To booze hag is to embrace the pleasure of drinking, and of drinking well. This isn’t about problematic drinking habits, but about shaking off any shame around the enjoyment of drinking and making space instead to learn more about what we love and why.
The term ‘booze hag’ is lovingly borrowed from a good friend, Sheena, from Chasing a Plate, who brings the NZ-native moniker from across the ditch. We're told that this term can be used in nasty ways, but we find it delightful: feminine, wizened, kinda mystical and a bit cheeky. Perfect.
So here’s a toast to this big, boozy adventure – and to all our fellow booze hags. Cheers!
